Halbert Carmichael Wins ANA’s Glenn Smedley Award
Raleigh Coin Club (RCC) member Halbert Carmichael received two distinct honors at the just completed 2014 American Numismatic Association (ANA) World’s Fair of Money show in Chicago. He received his 50-year ANA membership pin and also was awarded one of the Association’s prestigious “Recognition of Service” awards – the Glen Smedley Memorial Award in recognition for his years of deep involvement in volunteer service to the ANA as a national publicity chairman, exhibit chairman, exhibit judge and chair of ANA Exhibits and Awards Committee.
